11 This is the view looking NE towards the top of Craignaw with yet another group of boulders which almost look like a prehistoric monument. Just below the small dark face that you see at the highest point of the picture is where there is a monument to commemorate the deaths of 2 airmen who died in December 1979 when their F11 crashed there. The picture below was taken many years ago of the monument. Mouseover to see the bronze plaque in close up. For more about the monument see the old web pages I put on the site years ago of this area of a day when we took in Mullwharchar as well as Craignaw and the Buchan Ridge .- one long tough day.
