03 From the car park at Bruce's Stone continue east on the forest track which takes the cyclists to Clatteringshaws. It soon heads down hill towards the head of Loch Trool with this view of Mulldonoch beyond the loch. It is possible to get up through the trees onto Mulldonoch to the left of the rock outcrop near the left edge of this picture and then go along the ridge over Lamachan to Curleywee. These Minnigaff Hills will be the southern backdrop for the day. You can see what a promising day we had in prospect as we set off from the car around 9.45am.
