09 Above you can see Meikle
Lump on the right of the picture, and that was a very hopeful sign for me.
Five minutes earlier and it had been lost in mist. So I kept working my
way southward and upward across the face of the hill making for Milldown
rather than Millfire and was in no hurry - the longer I took the more chance
of it being clear when I got up onto the top of the Rhinns of Kells. There was eleven minutes (according to my camera) between the above shot and the first shot below - in which we are looking down onto Loch Dungeon where the Hawse Burn feeds into it. You can see that the prospects are definitely improving as the thick rain clouds become more transparent. The third shot shows the forest road running to the memorial but I quite like it as a shot anyway for the pattern of shapes we get. |
