06 Above is the point where we leave the forest track and head off onto an off-road track. As I mentioned earlier these strategic points on our route are well marked as you can see in the detail below from the above picture. Again the old red topped waymarker is there. The third picture shows what the final stages of this route are like and again it is waymarked. There is around one kilometre of this rough track after you leave the forest road and before you come to the stile that takes you out of the forest. That's the Folk Burn coming down through the picture - we will see it again as we head from the woods to the hills.
