19 These 3 shots were taken at the trig on Pykestone Knowe.
In the top picture we are looking back the way we have come up towards Dollar Law, Cramalt and Broad Law.
In the second picture we are looking west to the Culters and Tinto with Drumelzier Law just above the trig point in the near distance.
In the third picture I have used a lot of zoom and we are looking over the top of the Scrape to what I take to be Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh (just left of the fence line at the top of the Scrape). I presume that will be the Pentland Hills to the left of that.
I had originally meant to go as far as the Scrape, but it did not look specially interesting over there, the Kirkintillock folk had said it was not worth going to, and I was concerned that I would be caught on the way back by the rain that was forecast. So I did not bother going to the Scrape. It did try to rain but it never came to much.
