10 This picture was taken from the same point as the second picture on page 09 - just before we start to descend the scree slopes down to Harfell Spa. The bowl in the landscape which is catching the sunlight on the right half of the picture is the Devil's Beef Tub. Annanhead lies at the highest point above the Beef Tub and that is where the River Annan is born. The hills that you see in the distance in this picture are the Lowther hills. |
