06 You will have noticed that the pictures used on this web gallery were not all taken on the same day or even in the same season of the year. Most of the pictures used up till now have been from a damp misty day in May 2007 and they are full of soft greens. On that day there were no pictures to be got up on the top of the hill where the above picture was taken - except of mist. The picture above and those on the next two pages were taken on a bitingly cold winter's day when the air was clear and the colours were in the brown range. We had come up from Moffat Well that day. Here we are then topping out onto Swatte Fell and entering into some great hill scenery with the double top of Saddle Yoke right of centre, White Coomb is just to the left of Dunkie and Carrifran Gans is the dark sliver of hill just above him behind Saddle Yoke. |
