On the front there are various relief carvings relating to the various activities that have taken place along the course of the river The names of the various places it passes through are also carved on the front. These read from left to right as: Tweed's Well (where this monument is), Tweedsmuir, Drumelzier, Stobo, Peebles, Innerleithen, Melrose, Kelso, Coldstream and Berwick on Tweed You can use the magnifying tool at the bottom right corner of the screen in Internet Explorer to enlarge the image further. |
