12 In this picture we are right over to the west side of Nickies Knowe looking due south up the valley of Talla Water. The hill furthest away is White Coomb and the dark hill much closer and to the right of it is Firthybrig Head which we will have to climb up onto from Lochcraig Head later in the day. So effectively what we are doing is following the ridge we are on up to Lochcraig Head and then we will cross over to the ridge on the right of the picture, going up onto Firthybrig Head to get there. Then we will come back down that ridge on the right. If you were feeling like it you could, as mentioned on page 01, go right on to White Coomb and then backtrack to Firthybrig Head and back onto the present route.
