| 01 Take the A711 (Dalbeatie to Kirkcudbright road). Turn off just as you arrive in Auchencairn from the east and follow the single track road down to Balcary Bay Hotel where there is space for several cars to park. As you can see from the map above there are several routes you could take in this area to walk. The pictures in this web gallery follow the red route out from Balcary Bay and come back on the yellow route from Barlocco Bay. We did this walk on 11th of April 2007 and we spent four and three quarter unhurried hours doing it. |
