Screel and Bengairn from Almorness house Screel and Bengairn from Almorness house Screel and Bengairn from Almorness house
12 At Almorness house we meet the road which comes down the east side of the peninsula from Palnackie via Orchardton Tower, which is the road we will walk back on to Palnackie. For now we will go through the gate that you see in the left foreground and make our way down over the field. The hill to the right of the picture is Screel and the one in the left half of the picture is Bengairn. It may not look like it from here but actually Bengairn at 391 metres is almost 50 metres higher than Screel.
