07 Steygail is a great favourite
of mine. It has loads of interesting forms to feast the eye on, no matter
which side you see it from. On the walk over Steygail
to Lowther Hill described on this website you have to come down that
steep ridge on the right of the above picture. In the second picture I have swung the camera a bit more to the left and you can now see down into the Dalveen Pass - Steygail is on the right and the western part of the Durisdeer hills on the left. Mouseover to see the names of the hills. In the third picture I have used a bit of zoom to take you down into the Dalveen Pass. That's Dalveen House near the bottom right corner. You can see a vehicle ascending the pass. |
