11 Down among the peat hags
between Comb Law and Rodger Law the snow and wind are again making spectacular
forms and here you really do have to watch out for those smooth bits in
the snow. I was up to the waist in it at one point here and that starts
to get awkward to get out of. I took 6 hours 20 mins to the whole walk but
the effort of getting through thick snow fairly slows you down - and tires
you out. In the second picture we are still in the peat hags looking over to Daer Reservoir. In the third picture I have zoomed in to see the reservoir better. That's the Moffat Hills that you see in the distance but we will see them better later. |
