| 17 Looking NW from the saddle we get this view down into the Mennock Pass. You can see the road which winds it's way up from Mennock on the A76 past here and on to Wanlockhead and Leadhills and then onwards over to the M74 near Abington. There are three passes which take vehicles through these hills from the A76 to the M74 - the Dalveen, the Mennock, and the Crawick. The Crawick goes from just north of Sanquhar over by Crawfordjohn. | |||||
