14 Here we have left the top of Auchenlone - which is surely a better name for the hill than East Mount Lowther - and we are heading down into the narrow saddle where the Enterkin Pass tops out before the bridle path heads off to Edinburgh or Glasgow as the mood would one time have taken you. You can see it head onwards on it's merry way bearing left from the saddle. We head on up past the newly erected mast that you see ahead of Sandy, and up to the right for Lowther. This saddle can be very exposed in wild conditions. Saddles like this always focus the full power of whatever wind is available as any hill walker will tell you. | |||||
