25 Here we are at the corner of the plantation (at the blue asterisk on page 22) looking back up the route we have come down from Cairnsmore. That was much more difficult terrain than it looks. The grass was thick and high and you never could tell when it would give way with you and you would be up to the knees in a hole. Definitely dodgy ground. The picture below shows Dunkie trying a route out along the edge of the trees before we decided just to go through them. |
