22 As we headed down here we thought at first we would take the firebreak through the recently planted trees at the red asterisk in the picture above, but as we got further down we decided to head for the end of the new plant at the blue asterisk and follow the edge of the plantation down from there. But we found all this terrain surprisingly difficult so we made our way through the trees at the yellow asterisk.
Below, zooming in on the above picture you can more clearly see the Raider's Road that we were heading for. The woods proved to be not nearly so thick as they look and were in fact quite pleasant to go through - we've known much worse. That is not the track that we were looking for that you see coming out from between the trees in the foreground of the picture below. It is the burn that we had to cross in the middle of the wood
