36 Back at the car now and the day's relaxed dander has taken just under six hours - most of that time spent walking on vehicle tracks and easy terrain with plenty of good views all round.
Perhaps we could take just a minute here to consider the fine variety of Scots words for the English word "hill" that we have encountered on our route and which have added colour to the experience.

First we had "Craig" Head - "craig" being a Scots word for a crag
Then Taberon "Law" - "law" being Scots for a roundish or conical hill
Then Long Grain "Knowe" - "knowe" being equivalent to a knoll, which in itself is a fascinating word to have in English when you take time to look at it, as is the word "fell".
Then we have Glenstivon "Dod" - "dod or dodd" is yet another word for a rounded hill or fell.
Lastly we had Dulyard "Brae" - "brae" being yet another form of the word "hill".
