30 Right at it's western end. the Megget Reservoir splits in two and the longer arm hooks round to the south. You can see this hook running in behind the hill in the picture above. That's Dead for Cauld that it runs in behind. The road that you see running round the foot of that hill goes to a farm called Winterhope Burn and no further. The road from Tweedsmuir to Cappercleuch can be seen at the bottom right corner of the picture and we now have to find the best way we can down to the road over interesting ground of bracken and boulders. Notice the round sheep fank at the head of the reservoir. | |||||
