01 This walk is a linear ridge walk - you
go out and come back along the same ridge. Yet the superb views to the north
west across Moffatdale into the Moffat Hills keep the walk interesting in
both directions and the going is fairly easy. The hills immediately south
of Moffatdale are called the Ettrick
hills and our walk today goes along their northern edge. Though there are several tops along the ridge none of them involve all that much ascending and descending between them. I took 2hour 50 mins heading down to Bodesbeck Law and 2 hours 10 mins to come back - most of the photographs were taken on the outward leg |
