| 20 Leaving the top of Cairnsmore I made my way to the east side of the hill so that I could look down over the Gairy (Scots word for a steep hill or precipice) of Cairnsmore to Moorbrock which you see stretching across the picture in the foreground. You would come up over Moorbrock on the red route shown on page 01. The picture below was taken from Moorbrock in July 2001. Beninner is on the left and Cairnsmore is on the right of the dark silhouetted hill behind Allan. That's bog cotton in the foreground. | |||
