05 This path comes through a recently felled area as shown above - picture taken 4th April 2006. The wonderful views to the south over East Stewartry National Scenic Area as you go up onto Screel are difficult to photograph during the day because you are facing into the sun and the sunlight bounces off the Solway at you - burning out the distance views over the Solway, as you can see here.
