08 Here we have two views looking northwards up the River Nith from Glencaple towards Kelton - which is round the bend in the river and near the left edge of the picture in the above image. In the second shot you can see the broad strip of grass that separates the road from the river at this point. Near the left edge of the picture you can see where the path runs along the edge nearer the river. It is not unusual for the river to get onto the road at this point and there are warning signs on the road warning drivers about this. |
