22 As you come out of the drive that goes into the castle and meet the public highway, you will get the view shown above of a farm track heading straight ahead. There is also the distinctive caterpillar shaped wood on top of the hill on the right which is where we are heading next - Ward Law Iron Age Fort. Head up the track and along the edge of the field to get to this. Turning left at the point where this photograph was taken from will bring you down the public road to the carpark at Castle Corner.

There was also a Temporary Roman Camp on the top of this hill just to the north of the Iron Age Fort, but nothing of this is visible on the ground now though aerial pictures can pick it out.
