28 As we progress along Durisdeer Rig we get this view down into Nithsdale and in the foreground you can see what we had to climb at the start of the day from Castle Hill up onto Black Hill. Down in the valley on this side of Castle Hill there is a Roman fortlet which I have zoomed in on in the following page.
