04 Looking
southward you get this view of Mulldonoch. It is possible to go up through
these trees onto Mulldonoch and then head eastward along the top of Lamachan
and Benanbrack to Curleywee descend from there by White Hill onto
the Southern Upland Way and follow it back to Loch Trool. It is a steep
and tricky ascent to start with, but well worth it for the views you get
down the loch and over into the Galloway hills. The hills south of Loch
Trool are known as the Minnigaff hills. You will see the shapely profile
of these hills in later pictures in number 24 in
particularly.
