33 This is taken from the cairn on the top of Andrewhinney Hill looking over to Loch Skene. You can see why I took the lower route on the way out - from this point at the cairn you can't see the Grey Mare's Tail at all. What a shame to have missed that! You can also see how with the sun in the SW the shadows were making the pictures less interesting - though the walking was still very pleasant. It was 3.25pm when this picture was taken - so the camera tells me. The picture below was also taken from the cairn. That's Ettrick Pen on the left and Bodesbeck Law on the right. Loch Fell is just left of centre.
