30 This picture was also taken from
the far end of Bodesbeck looking down into Moffatdale where it runs
into Annandale - with Queensberry and the Lowther hills in the background.
In the picture below I have zoomed into Capplegill where we park to
either go up onto Saddle Yoke and Swatte Fell or onto Bodesbeck Law
itself - where this picture was taken from. That's Bodesbeck farm
near the bottom left corner of the picture you have to come over Moffat
Water and past Bodesbeck farm to get up here. We park where you see
the red asterisk but the folk who stay in the house there also park
there so it is very important that you don't alienate them by affecting
their right of access to their own parking space. If you were to use
two cars one car could be left at Capplegill and the other at Birkhill
- in which case you could save yourself the walk back along the ridge
to Birkhill by just descending to Capplegill from Bodesbeck Law. |
