02 For this walk you park on the A708 Moffat to Selkirk road. Just to the right of the car in the picture above you can see a white sign by the roadside. It says "Welcome to Dumfries and Galloway" - so we are just on the "Scottish Borders" side of where these two regions meet. In fact as we go along the top of the ridge we will follow the boundary fence between the two regions. This picture was taken around 10.15 am. The sun was still low in the sky and casting strong shadows down into Moffatdale. Wisps of mist were still lingering in the valley. | |||||
